Yet another draw from a match which we created many chances and had most of the possesion.
We arrived in Shrewsbury to find out that their team usually won all their matches by 8 nil but this didn't worry the Shakers as we tore into them - how the 1st half remained 0 v 0 still remains a mystery as we hit the bar,fluffed many chances and had a goal disallowed by the linesman (theirs)
The popularity of our team is such that we had 5 substitutes who all started the 2nd half.
The game was now a bit more even and Shrewsbury actually went into an undeserved lead with one of the few shots which Greg had to face all the game.
The last 20 minutes became a bit heated as we went on all out attack and Shrewsbury defended stoutly but justice was done when a clearance bit a Shrews defender somehow hit Tom and rebounded into the net for a scruffy but well deserved equaliser.
In the end we all enjoyed ourselves and it carried on when our hosts provided Chip butties in their social club and the 1st team again dominted the match cruising into a 2 nil lead before throwing it away to draw the game.

Who told you that? We gave them a 6-1 stuffing pre-season and they only just edged us out 7-5 in our first ever game. Methinks they were telling porkies to try and intimidate you and it didnt work!
