Whilst some may question the wisdom of building the new stand at this moment in time, especially in view of the club's current financial situation, Chairman Terry Robinson was quick to point out that grants were made available and that if the opportunity had been turned down at this time it would have been lost forever. So why not take this opportunity to check out what is an excellent facility which is quite literally concrete evidence of the club's ambitious outlook?
Maximum Plans to redevelop the Cemetery End were launched in 1994 when the club was in Division Three and, after a concerted effort from club bosses, a maximum £1.5 million Football Trust grant eventually came through. The construction has a 2,316 capacity, bringing the ground up to a 11,910 figure. It has been designed to give further scope for hospitality boxes and development under the stand which may lead to the construction of bars, hospitality rooms and other leisure facilities.
Bury FC members can sit in the Cemetery End for £10, non-members for £12. Season ticket holders will be admitted to the stand on production of the appropriate voucher
