Stan not a happy man - Bury Times - Tuesday, 24 October 1995:
"TOTALLY unacceptable" was Bury boss Stan Tement's honest appraisal of his side's miserable display on Saturday. The Shakers chief was an angry man after his team's second poor performance in four days. "The crowd had every right to call for the manager to be sacked after that showing,"  exclaimed Tement. "The players just didn't have a go and seemed frightened to play out there today. "I feel cheated and the supporters have been let down by an inept display. "I had a chat to the players after the game and I told them that they are the future of the club and we must battle through it," concluded the Bury boss.  Acting skipper Trevor Matthewson echoed Tement's frustration. "It was very, very disappointing, we didn't do ourselves justice and let the manager, supporters and ourselves down," he said. "We realty wanted to put it right after the Scunthorpe game but it was like a morgue out there. "We must be more ruthless on the pitch and boss one another around. "At the end of the day it's about guts and heart, you can have as much skill as you want but without those attributes you have nothing," added Matthewson.
