Stan looking for a repeat show - Bury Times, Friday 06 October 1995:
BURY boss Stan Ternent will tell his men to turn back the clock four days when they step out against Leyton Orient at Gigg Lane tomorrow afternoon. Only a repeat of the fireworks they showed against Sheffield United will satisfy the manger who will name an unchanged line up as long as Trevor Matthewson shrugs off a minor knock. "It was a brilliant performance and one which should have given everyone at the club and m the stands a big lift," declared Ternent "We must endeavour to produce the same again and start climbing the table ". A trip to Reading in Round Three was scant reward for the Third Division's only Coca-Cola Cup survivors but Ternent remains optimistic. "If we perform like we did against Sheffield then there is no reason why we cannot get something out of the Reading game," he ventured "We've set ourselves high standards and I expect us to maintain them " The Shakers blistering cup show will mean new signing Dean West will probably have to settle for a place on the bench tomorrow. He missed the Sheffield game because he was cup tied. Two familiar faces will, however, be on the pitch as Roger Stanislaus and Tony Kelly return to Gigg Lane for the first time since their double summer move. "It will be great to come back I had five happy years at Gigg Lane and always got a good reception from the fans, I am looking forward to it," said Stanislaus. "We are playing well at the moment and Bury have been struggling but we know they have a lot of quality players They are in a false position in the division and I expect them to be right up there at the end "
