Ternent Slams a comedy of error's - Bury Times - Tuesday, 02 January 1996:
BURY boss Stan Terncnt described his side's efforts as a comedy of errors but he certainly wasn't laughing. "Hartlepool's first two goals were ridiculous, we shot ourselves in the foot," he lamented. "We've done it before and it is my job to change that tendency...and I will'"  "It is a setback but not the end of the world. We'll bounce back on Saturday against Doncaster.  "We've done well recently," he continued, "but every now and again this sort of thing seems to happen. I thought we were getting away from it but on today's evidence we're not.  "Results like this happen at all levels and the real test is how you react to setbacks. We'll see what the players are made of and how hungry they are on Saturday."  Fit again Shaun Reid and Mark Carter will join Chris Lucketti in the reserves tonight against Scunthorpe and all three could reasonably expect a recall at the weekend.  Phil Stant and David Johnson both look vulnerable to a fit-again Carter. Slant hasn't scored for ten games, the worst run of his career, and Johnson has netted only twice in eleven starts.  Of the seven league goals the Shakers have managed in twelve home games midfielders David Pugh and Tony Rigby have supplied four while strikers Carter, Johnson and Stant have managed one each.
