on the actual pages that display news items, it may be a good idea to drop the third column (the one with the league table and now showing etc) to make the centre column wider. it just seems a bit narrow to me.

The centre part of the screen SHOULDN'T be wide - the right hand side of the screen should always contain stuff that's not that important. Why? Well not everyone uses the same resolution when viewing stuff on the internet.

I'm not sure, but viewing the internet on TVs also chops the right hand side. Better like it is.

Of course, it would be better if the site stuck to standards with regard to blind users (ie, properly labelled pictures). Maybe a trip to a library to check how the site is read by software for the blind, wouldn't go amiss!

Won't provision of facilities for disabled users be UK law soon? I remember the Australian government being sued for ignoring the needs of visually impaired when they designed their Olympics site.
