The Official Bury FC Web Site has today launched a new and exciting competition for all supporters of every age. Our “Predictions Game” is now live and can be accessed from the link within this article.

Firstly, we have to thank a supporter for donating this software to the club. Larger than life Shakers fan Craig Morley has very kindly offered to pay for the software to run this competition. Thank you Craig.

Based on your predictions for the coming season, we have a fabulous one off prize for the winner. The winner come the end of the season will receive the following:-

• A signed match worn shirt (Home or away) from a player of your choice.
• A Seat in the press box for the last home game of the season
• A pre match meal in Starkies Restaurant for the last home game of the season
• Be present at the post match press conference for the last game of the season
• Be presented with their prize by their player of your choice before the last home game of the season

The predictions league will end before the last home game of the season in order that the winner can be presented with his/her prizes before the Macclesfield Town game. All cup games will be added to the Predictions League once known, all registered users of the predictions league will be notified of any change to fixtures and additions

Rules of the competition are as follows:

• You must predict the score for all Bury games during the season
• You may enter this predictions league as many times as you want to

Scoring Mechanism
• 3 Points for a correct score. I.e. you predict 3-1 and the result is 3-1.
• 1 Point for a correct result. You predict 1-1; the score is 2-2.
Goal Difference
• For each correct team’s number of goals you score, you receive that number of +goals. E.g. you predict 2 and the team scores 2, you get +2 goals.
• For each incorrect number of goals you predict per team, you lose the difference in goals. E.g. you predict 3 and the team scores 2, you get -1 goals.

To enter and register for the Shakers Predictions League, simply click here - http://shakers.wildjelly.com/predictions/

You may predict all or a selection of the fixtures within the game. The winner will be the person with the most points come the end of the season. Should a tie occur? The person with the most correct predictions will take the first prize

Is it just me, or does everyone so far think that we will beat Swansea 2-1 on the first day of the season?

Great minds think alike or dim minds never differ?

Not any more Craig.

Some clown's predicted a 3-1 win for Swansea.

Gordon, Do you predict the scores as the season goes on or do you have to predict all the results before the season starts?

Paul

you can do the lot now or just do a few at a time, entirely upto you

How far in advance of that game does the prediction close - for instance, can we leave the first prediction until say 12pm on 9 August, after the news conference to announce the arrival of Zidane and Ronaldhino at Gigg?

Gordon

the game will close two minutes before the actual match starts, or when we sign Roberto Carlos

That you starting a wicked rumour Gordon, or just your way of trying to distract attention from the Ronaldhino/Zidane double swoop?

Don't you just hate it when people make ridiculous claims about signings? I'm so disappointed in the childish rumours that you've started Chip.

(Pssst, has anyone else heard about us signing Beckham, Inzaghi, Vieri, Vieira, Shevchenko and Davids on Thursday? No, well all I can say is be at Gigg at 3pm for the photo call.

You aint seen me, right?)

You're very welcome. I don't want anyone to feel bad for me though. I know £18,000 is a lot of money to give away, but I'll be OK. Any help paying my mortgage for the next 20 years would be gratefully accepted though.

Seriously (for once!!), it's my pleasure. Hope everyone enjoys it over the course of the season.
