Can anybody go???
Shareholders only, I'm afraid.
Can I borrow somebody's shares for the night...I'd really like to go.
So would I.
My Dad got a share certificate when he joined Forever Bury. Can he go?

Gandalf,
If they are not Bury FC shares then what are they?
Brangy, mine says:
a share in Forever Bury.
so don't think it is a share in club.
Would be interested to know though - exactly what the share is with regards to FB and is it separate or inclusive of the membership fee and to what is it a share of.
I thought it is a share in Forever Bury, it entitles you to your one vote and members can pnly have one share - one share one vote type thing

Surely all "shareholders" would have to be notified and invited to the A.G.M. So there should be no guessing at who is entitled to go.
The companies i have shares with send me accounts and an invitation to their A.G.M, along with a list of proposals to be discussed and a proxy voting form for if i am unable to attend. Or is Football different?

Forever Bury was set up as an Industrial and Provident Society on the recommendation of Supporters Direct. The share entitles members to be shareholders in the Society, attend AGM's, and cast their votes where applicable.
Nominally the shares have a value of £1 and this is part of the first membership payment that you make. If you renew you membership then the original share you purchased remains valid although you still hold just the one share even though you have been a member for two years. If you do not renew (and I am delighted to say that most of you have) then your share, and the rights associated with it, lapses. As has already been said it is designed to allow a one member one vote system to operate so that ever member has as much influence as the next.
So there you are then...clear as mud!!
