Apart from Mike Read (275 & 285 Radio 1), the Neville brothers (I believe) and Sir Robert Peel, I think we're a bit thin on the ground.

We should try and recruit Victoria Wood. She's ace!

Good to see on that site Rochdale only have Tommy Cannon (Comedian).

Is this correct?

I never thought he was a comedian

What about Fat Cyril?

Is it also correct that Danny Boyle is a Bury fan? Bizarre.

Someone asked this question just last week.

I mentioned Steve Berry (from Top Gear) who lives just off Gigg Lane.

The people mentioned on the link that DJAsh put up are:

Danny Boyle - film director (Shallow Grave, 28 Days Later, Trainspotting..)
Mike Reid - DJ
Mark E Smith - the Fall

Yes he is. I had to wait behind him at Maine Road once whilst he tried to free himself from a rather narrow turnstile.
