3-0.
Seddon
Whaley
Porter

1. Solley
2. Barrass
3. Kennedy
4. Gunby
5. Browne
6. Cartlidge?
7. Whaley
8. Forrest (c)
9. Seddon
10. O'Neill
11. Thornley
Porter, Horrocks, Kazim-Richards, other youth player came on.

Seddon was on fire, scored a pearler of a volley for the first, set up Whaley for a tap in for the second. Browne played well at the back. Whaley was lively and played well on the right wing 1st half n left second. Solley commanding and impressive saves.
I'll get slaughtered for this but MOM FORREST!!!

What does MOM forrest mean? Hopefully we will see a lot more of Whaley this year. I liked the look of him when he came on against Torquay at home. 3-0 aganst a conference side isn't a bad result. How were we defensively?

I would guess he's either become a US mother figure, or he was Stu's Man of the Match

man of match.

a bit shaky first 20mins. wet pitch n wind adding to it. but after that they played well, the odd blip but we expect that i spose.
Solley, Browne, Cartlidge?, Forrest, Whaley played 90mins.

Thornley was pants, slow, unimaginative, and Cooke is way ahead in the winger race!!!

I get it now. Shouldn't it be MOTM though. Otherwise you just confuse simpletons like myself.

I wouldnt go as far as saying Forrest was Man of the Match but after a quiet start he was much improved. Y3K's match report is online shortly and agrees with everything else that ShakerStu comments on.

PLUS a little exclusive bit of information about Seddon!

Sorry, dont quite disagree but, Barrass, was a class above everyone else tonight, Browne wasnt bad but obviously troubled with his junior centre-half partner ( when your're playing for a contract, its got to be hard work) I quite like Forrest but, as usual, in & out of the game, as was Gunby but thats not to say they didnt play well. Tom Kennedy - class (but then the lad who replaced him looked v useful - who was it? Whaley looked good in the 1st half but only looked ordinary when he switched to the left in the 2nd half. Seddon - lively, O'Neill - useful, Porter - watch this lad - v impressed, Ben Thornley - not brillliant, but then dont judge off one Wet wednesday friendly. Their No 18 took my eye, similar build to myself, but the lad had some v good touches (bit like myself then) if the lad was 2 stone lighter he could be one hell of a player.
Thought both Nicky Hill & Warren Payton (both players I thought quite useful, had ordinary games)

Overall - quite promising

Well done Bury.

Hard to believe Forrest was MOM after his performamce at Radcliffe but strange things do happen at sea.

Looks like we have some good new players coming through.

I was impressed with some of them at Radcliffe.

If we get a new centre half we could be going places.

saleshaker...totally agree with you on their No.18....a bit of a porker, but a fantastic touch, put in some superb balls for their forwards.
For me Fozzy, too many times, tried to do too much with the ball instead of keeping it simple....lost the ball too many times when a simple pass would have kept us in possession.
For me, a very slow, nervy start, but then a quick tempo change saw us totally dominate.
The No.6 for us...very poor, a total lack of confidence.
Overall, quite satisfied....young Colin Khazim looks one for the future !

Was impressed with Kennedy tonight and I thought Seddon looked lively upfront and Steve Gunby had a good game to. Should have scored a few more in the second half with Porter hitting the crossbar with a lob.

We also hit the post and our number 14 missed an open goal after a rebound from the goalie. He certainly looks one for the future (who was he someone stood next to me said Horrocks one of the reserves)?

Last 10 mins of the match was spent dodging Golf balls from the idiots on the playing field behind who thought it was a good idea to tee off with golf balls flying on the pitch on the crowd and hitting cars in the car park.
