Anyone heard anything more about the rumour circulating on y3K about Hendry?

Not sure what sort of wages he'd be looking for, but if we could get hold of him as a player with a view to him moving into coaching, I think it would be a great acquisition.

He's a great character with huge experience and massive leadership qualities - just the sort of player to bring Danny Swailes on.

The rumour is he lives in Lytham and is looking for a club in the north west.

If we can afford him - what do people think? Would we rather bring him in or have Redders back in a similar role??

Personally I'd go for Hendry (but only if we can afford him).

Don't you just know that some going to ask that one.

OK Redders we have had and know his commitment and ability etc. at the top of his game with Man City he was good but never made it to the top, still would do a good job today.

However Hendry has the ability and has been at the top with both club and country, world cup finals etc, and if the price is right must be one to bring in.

I think Hendry would be a cracking addition to give some solidity at the back and bring on some of the younger lads around him. Seriously doubt we could afford him tho.

Can someone dig up the number of games Hendry has played in the last 3 years or so and compare it to Redders.

I'm guessing he's not played so many and has reached the end of the road playing wise. Don't think we should be the club to finally prove that.

WOULDN'T HAVE EITHER. REDDERS ( DON'T GET ME WRONG WAS A BIG FAN) IS PAST IT AND SO IS HENDRY, HE ALSO PLAYED FOR THE TROTTERS. SHOULD ENQUIRE ABOUT MICHEAL JACKSON FROM PRESTON. WOULD LOVE TO GET HIM BACK AND HE WAS LOANED OUT NEAR THE END OF LAST SEASON BUT PROBABLY COULDN'T AFFORD HIM EITHER. IAN HUGHES IS ON A FREE AS WELL THO. HE HAD A TRIAL WITH HUDDERSFIELD BUT DON'T KNOW HOW IT WENT.

Can we put this to bed - Colin Hendry will not be at Gigg Lane. The Scot mentioned in the MEN is Paul Jones - the lad that played on Sunday

Based on Gordon's past record of accurate statements, that means we will sign him tomorrow!!
