At away games you go into the local town and the ones wearing the Utd shirts are:
a. girls under 13
b. the skinny lad with glasses who failed the milky bar ad, and
c. the fat lad who ate MacDonalds dry
none of them ever look as thought they've ever played a game of football in their life - I wonder why?
also, whenever at a karaoke someone gets up & sings 'simply the best' all the united fans(?) get up & sing/dance, and the only thing they have in common is a) they've never been to OT and b} they all look like lifes losers.
I'm sure if Sigmund Freud were alive today, he could give us a reason for the above. Just a thought

A lot of Freud's original research has been subject to criticism and may be questionable. However I hope he would not advocate judging anyone by their size, thier age or their ability to kick a spherical object as a measure of their worth and value to make their way through life without condemnation.
I think the "Simply The Best" theory is more akin to Pavlov's research with dogs and un/conditional responses.
Ah, Psychology A-Level. How I miss it...

Jim lad,
At 21/22 it is quite acceptable to be up at 05.40 and I would expect booze drugs or sex to be involved. But on the message board talking psychobabble is very worrying.
Are you going to Stade Stainton ? I'll get you a beer and we can talk this thing through.
Fozzie
Beer was involved, actually. I'd been out in Bury for the night and performed my usual trick of getting in, falling asleep with the light on, waking up with a mouth like Gandhi's flip-flop at 4.30 and then being unable to get back to sleep.
Hardly Keith Richards, though my current appearance isn't all that far off. Which is why I won't be at Radcliffe - I look awful, and I don't feel much better. Will see you soon, though.
Oh, and as for the sex - I should be so lucky.

Joy your observation is totally correct, I am led to believe you are a woman over the age of forty, those 2 categories being ones I have previously singled out as having little knowledge of football. Maybe I was wrong- having just seen Charlies Angels, 2 Demi Moore as defnately made me believe women over the age of 30 DO actually have some useful purpose in our society

Dear Coxes apples,
I think that you will find that I do indeed have a very wide knowledge of football having been brought up on it all my life.
Regards,
The little woman.
