I am not a big poster of messages, but I do enjoy using the boards to keep up with the clubs situation being an exile. I read topics on this board and over on the Y3K site with great interest. I like the fact the rivals site allows fans to post on other boards, but as of late it seems our rivals board had become a complete joke, with dale and bury fans alike posting utter tommyrot just for the sake of an argument. I enjoy the football related debates but I really cannot be a*sed with the Y3K board anymore. The latest topic of interest being whose got the better scoreboard!
Any other Y3K users getting annoyed at this?
I'm a Y3K user!
The scoreboard argument is certainly very tongue in cheek and the Rochdale fans do tend to lead the likes of robshaker on quite a bit.
They'll all go away when the season starts and they have their own problems! Dont leave us because of the boring arguments! :(
Besides, Rochdale fans need us as their rivals while Halifax are in the conference.
Well said that man. I have no truck with petty arguments against Rochdale fans
And anyway, they started it

I have been, on rare occasions, been known to have a bit of friendly banter with the Rochdale lot.

Supawooly, you ought to be ashamed of yourself.
Can't remember if it was at one of yours plastic, or supawooly's, but one of your posts on there nearly got me in trouble at work when I burst out laughing!
I remember when I used to be witty, don't have the energy for it any more!!!
Don't know who's the most idiotic on there, our very own robshaker or some of the fools from rochdale.

On serious note, it's mostly just harmless banter. I like this board for more serious debates on the club and for other reasons. However, you can't beat a bit of "dialogue" with the opposition and the rivals network is the ideal place for this. It's pretty obvious when you see clues or catchwords such as "robshaker", "Dale", "sewage farmers", "Mightydale", "robshaker" or "robshaker" in the title of the posts as to what the subject is.
It shouldn't be a reason to stay off the Y3K board. I loathe everything to do with Big Brother during June/July but it doesn't stop me from watching TV - I just avoid Channel 4 at certain times and E4 for the duration.
The articles that Ben and Jon are putting on Y3K have been very good in my opinion and there's nothing to stop serious or more meaningful dialogue taking place on the message board but they have to be posted by someone first.
I think that's about right - I use this board for things that are actually to do with the club, players etc and for up to date info. The debates on here are far better and are restricted in the main to Bury fans.
The Y3K board is good for a laugh, but the messages very rarely discuss anything useful.
The articles are good though as you say.

I never minded Rochdale.
They were always a small family club who sit and watch their team in their run down stadium.
I don't see how they can compare theirselves to us, I'm not botherd if Rochdale win or lose its B*lton I don't like. Its a shame that the jealousy of Rochdale fans can grow so much. A few month ago when I was on tele there was a Rochdale fan, he was mouthing off at me because I was a Bury fan.
One word sprang to mind - "Dweeb".
I'm sorry everyone. I have to own up. I actually posted something nice about Rochdale on Y3K today.
Please don't hate me.

Rochdale's a bit up-the-road, innit?
