Why Lawsons face doesn't fit.
Why does Preece never play him.
To me he's the ideal super sub.
Come on Preece why not give him a chance to prove himself.
I would like to see him get a game at Radcliffe and prove his doubters wrong

131 league games in 8 seasons for 4 clubs (40% for Bury).
In 60 of these games he has come on as a sub.
In 70 of these games he has been substituted.
Can anyone remember the one league game where Ian played the full 90 minutes plus injury time.

perhaps it's because he's a constantly injured lazy, slow, useless fat arsed waste of space who had a lucky spell first time round at Bury and was found out at Stockport.

could still do with giving him a chance to prove himself though, then we know once and for all
I think he'll be given pre-season games to prove himself - if he doesn't he'll be in for a long and boring season.
We can't afford to 'let him prove himself' in league games, so he's got pre-season and reserve games if he wants to force his way in, other than that he'd be waiting for injuries to other players.
just thought i would throw this in to the hat,
JON firing blanks NEWBY 0.16 goals per game
IAN more lethal just than newby LAWSON 0.22 per game
QUESTION IF WE GIVE A OUT OFF FORM JON NEWBY A RUN IN THE TEAM WITH HIS GREAT SCORING RECORD WHY NOT GIVE THE SLIGHTLY MORE PROLIFIC LAWS AGO ?
Because Newby's role was as a provider to the more central attacking players, such as Lawson. That is why Lawson's ratio is higher.
You got your stats from Soccerbase I take it, over the whole of their careers?
Ian Lawson's name is still on the transfer list as is Martyn Forrest's.
